Over four days, move through that history at a carefully arranged pace, from Memphis and the ancient necropolis of Saqqara to the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the treasures of the Egyptian Museum.

Your experience then shifts from ancient Egypt to historic Cairo. Discover the Citadel and Mohamed Ali Mosque, stand before the imposing Sultan Hassan Mosque, and finish among the atmospheric lanes of Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

Itinerary

DAY 1 — Touchdown in Cairo

Arrival at Cairo Airport, meet-and-assist through passport control, luggage claim and customs, then transfer to the Four Seasons Nile Plaza Hotel, Nile View Room.

DAY 2 — Memphis, Saqqara & the Pyramids of Giza (Breakfast, Lunch)

7:30 AM start with your Egyptologist. Visit Memphis, then Saqqara’s Step Pyramid and its ancient colored tombs, with the opportunity to enter a pyramid and see its hieroglyphics. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to the Pyramids of Giza, enjoy a camel ride across the sand, and visit the Sphinx. Back by 4 PM; dinner on your own.

DAY 3 — The Egyptian Museum & Islamic Cairo (Breakfast, Lunch)

8:30 AM pick-up. Visit the Egyptian Museum and its 7,000 years of Egyptian history, including the golden treasures of Tutankhamun. Lunch. Explore Islamic Cairo’s Citadel, the Mosque and Tomb of Mohamed Ali, and the Mosque of Sultan Hassan. Continue to Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Back by 4 PM; dinner on your own.

DAY 4 — Farewell to Cairo (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel, checkout and transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight home.
