Everything on this itinerary stays within Greater Cairo. It runs from the pyramid fields of Giza and Saqqara, past the Grand Egyptian Museum, to the minarets and bazaars of Islamic Cairo. Short private-vehicle transfers connect every stop, so your four days go into exploring, not sitting in traffic.

Itinerary

Day 1: Touchdown in Cairo. Land at Cairo International Airport and let us take it from here. Our meet-and-assist team guides you through passport control, baggage claim and customs, then accompanies you to the Fairmont Nile City Hotel (Deluxe Nile View Room). Settle in and get ready for what’s next.

Day 2: Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx (Breakfast, Lunch)
Your Egyptologist meets you at 7:30 AM. Start at the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world’s largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization. It holds thousands of treasures, including the complete Tutankhamun collection. After lunch at an authentic local restaurant, head to the Pyramids of Giza, the only surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Then meet the Sphinx, with your Egyptologist bringing its legends to life. You’re back at your hotel by 4 PM. Dinner is at your leisure.

Day 3: Saqqara, Islamic Cairo & Khan El Khalili (Breakfast, Lunch)
Pick-up is at 8:30 AM. Drive to Saqqara, the necropolis of Memphis and home of the Step Pyramid, the first limestone structure ever built. Explore colorful 4,350-year-old tombs and go inside a pyramid to see hieroglyphics carved thousands of years ago. Then tour Islamic Cairo, including the Citadel, a 12th-century fortress, and the Mosque and Tomb of Mohamed Ali. After lunch at an authentic local restaurant, browse the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, reputed to be the largest in the Middle East and trading since the 14th century. You’re back at your hotel by 4 PM. Dinner is at your leisure.

Day 4: Farewell, Cairo (Breakfast)
Breakfast at your hotel, then transfer to Cairo International Airport. You head home with memories that usually take a lifetime to collect.
