Tour Map

The journey begins in Cairo before moving south by air to Aswan. From there, travel by air to Abu Simbel and return to Aswan to board the Nile cruise north toward Luxor. After disembarkation, fly back to Cairo for your final night.

Itinerary

DAY 1 — Touchdown in Cairo

Arrival at Cairo Airport, meet-and-assist through the airport, then transfer to the Kempinski Nile Hotel, Deluxe Nile View Room.

DAY 2 — Memphis, Saqqara & the Pyramids of Giza (Breakfast, Lunch)

7:30 AM start with your Egyptologist. Visit Memphis and Saqqara’s Step Pyramid and ancient colored tombs, with the opportunity to enter a pyramid and see its hieroglyphics. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to the Pyramids of Giza, camel ride and Sphinx. Back by 4 PM; dinner on your own.

DAY 3 — The Egyptian Museum & Islamic Cairo (Breakfast, Lunch)

8:30 AM pick-up. Visit the Egyptian Museum and Tutankhamun’s golden treasures. Lunch. Explore Islamic Cairo’s Citadel, the Mosque and Tomb of Mohamed Ali, and the Mosque of Sultan Hassan. Finish at Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Back by 4 PM; dinner on your own.

DAY 4 — Fly to Abu Simbel & Board the Sonesta St. George (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Breakfast and checkout, then fly to Aswan and continue to Abu Simbel. Visit the twin rock temples of Ramses II and Nefertari, then fly back to Aswan and board the Sonesta St. George Nile Cruise. Embark before lunch, lunch on board, then visit the High Dam and Philae Temple. Afternoon tea and the captain’s welcome cocktail before dinner. Overnight in Aswan.

DAY 5 — Kom Ombo & Edfu (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Breakfast on board and sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the temple shared by Sobek and Haroeris, then sail to Edfu. Lunch on board and visit the Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples of the ancient world. Dinner on board and sail to Esna. Overnight in Esna.

DAY 6 — Luxor’s West Bank (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Early morning sail to Luxor. Breakfast on board, then explore the West Bank with the Valley of the Kings and Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut at El-Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner on board. Overnight in Luxor.

DAY 7 — Karnak, Luxor Temple & Fly to Cairo (Breakfast)

Breakfast on board and disembark at 8 AM. Visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, then transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo. Transfer to the Le Meridien Cairo Airport Hotel, Deluxe Room. Dinner on your own.

DAY 8 — Farewell (Breakfast)

Breakfast, checkout and transfer to Cairo International Airport approximately three hours before your international departure.
