Tour Map

The journey starts in Cairo and Giza, then heads south by air to Aswan and on to Abu Simbel on Egypt’s southern border. From Aswan you sail on the Nile through Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna to Luxor, then fly back to Cairo for your departure.

Itinerary

Day 1 (Wednesday): Touchdown in Cairo Arrival: Arrive at Cairo Airport. Our meet-and-assist service will take you from just outside your gate through the passport control area and help you through luggage claim and customs. Then they will accompany you to your hotel the Four Seasons Nile Plaza Hotel (Nile View Room)

Day 2 (Thursday): Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx (Breakfast, Lunch) Breakfast at your hotel.

07:30 Meet with your Egyptologist throughout your trip to Egypt.

Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM): The Grand Egyptian Museum is the world’s largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization, showcasing thousands of ancient Egyptian treasures, including the complete collection of King Tutankhamun, near the Pyramids of Giza.

Lunch: Dine at authentic local restaurant.

Giza Pyramids: Proceed to the Pyramids of Giza. The only present-day survivors of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, they are among the world’s greatest t ourist attractions and never lose their ability to inspire and overwhelm visitors.

Sphinx: Visit to the mysterious Sphinx, an ancient figure shrouded in legend and mystery. Your Egyptologist will enthral you about this fascinating figure.

Day 3 (Friday): Saqqara, Islamic Cairo & Khan El Khalili (Breakfast, Lunch) 08:30 Pick up from your hotel.

Saqqara: Drive to Saqqara , the necropolis of Memphis, home of the step pyramid, the first limestone structure ever built. Explore its 4350 years old colored tombs. Get the chance to go inside a pyramid and see the ancient Hieroglyphics that have been engraved on its walls for thousands of years.

Tour Islamic Cairo to visit the Citadel, a spectacular medieval fortress dating from the 12th century and perched on a hill above the city. Also located in the Citadel are the Mosq ue and Tomb of the great Ottoman ruler Mohamed Ali.

Lunch: Dine at authentic local restaurant.

Khan El Khalili Bazar: Proceed to the fascinating Kha n El-Khalili Bazaar – reputed to be the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Originally founded as a watering stop for caravanserai in the 14th century, the bazaar has now grown to vast proportions.

Day 4 (Saturday): Abu Simbel & Embarkation in Aswan (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Breakfast: Breakfast at your hotel & checkout.

Transfer from Cairo Hotel to Cairo Domestic Airport.

Flight: Board your Egypt Air flight to Aswan.

Arrive at Aswan Domestic Airport.

Flight: Board your Egypt Air flight to Abu Simbel.

Abu Simble Temple: Visit on the southern border of Egypt. This site is the home of two massive rock temples dedicated to Pharaoh Ramses the Second and his wife Nefertari. See the gigantic statues of the pharaoh standing for over 3200 years, flanking the entrance to one of the most impressive temples in Egypt.

Flight: Board your Egypt Air flight to Aswan.

Arrive at Aswan Domestic Airport.

Transfer: You will be transferred by air-conditioned vehicle to your Nile Cruise “The Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise” .
