Eight days. Two ancient wonders you’ve seen in photos your whole life — Abu Simbel and the Pyramids of Giza — and a Nile cruise that carries you past temples most travelers only read about. This is Egypt at its fullest: the Egyptian Museum’s golden treasures, the Sphinx, three nights gliding down the Nile aboard the Oberoi Zahra, and Karnak’s colossal columns at sunset. Nothing rushed, nothing shared with strangers — just your own private Egyptologist in Cairo and a private vehicle throughout.

From touchdown, you’re taken care of: our meet-and-assist team walks you through passport control, baggage claim, and customs, then takes you straight to the Four Seasons Nile Plaza for three nights in Cairo. A domestic flight — with a stop at Abu Simbel’s twin rock temples along the way — carries you to Aswan, where you’ll board the Oberoi Zahra for three nights of sailing to Luxor, before one final night back near Cairo Airport. Flights, hotels, cruise, guide, and camel ride at Giza all included.

This itinerary moves from Cairo’s pyramid fields south by air to Abu Simbel, then aboard a Nile cruise sailing from Aswan to Luxor — covering four cities and 3,000 years of temples in one continuous route.

Itinerary

DAY 1 — Touchdown in Cairo
Arrival, meet-and-assist through the airport, transfer to the Four Seasons Nile Plaza, Nile View Room.

DAY 2 — The Egyptian Museum & Islamic Cairo (Breakfast, Lunch)
8:30 AM pick-up. The Egyptian Museum and Tutankhamun’s golden treasures. Lunch. Islamic Cairo’s Citadel, the Mosque and Tomb of Mohamed Ali, and the Mosque of Sultan Hassan. Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Back by 4 PM; dinner on your own.

DAY 3 — Memphis, Saqqara & the Pyramids of Giza (Breakfast, Lunch)
7:30 AM start. Memphis, Saqqara’s Step Pyramid and its ancient painted tombs. Lunch. The Pyramids of Giza, a camel ride across the sand, and the Sphinx. Back by 4 PM; dinner on your own.

DAY 4 — Fly to Abu Simbel & Board the Oberoi Zahra (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Breakfast, checkout, flight to Aswan, then Abu Simbel — the twin rock temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Fly back to Aswan and board the Oberoi Zahra. Embarkation and lunch at noon, the High Dam and Philae Temple at 2:30 PM, tea at 5:30 PM, cocktails at 7 PM, dinner at 7:30 PM. Sail in Aswan.

DAY 5 — Kom Ombo & Edfu (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Sail to Kom Ombo at dawn, breakfast at 7 AM, the Temple of Kom Ombo at 8:30 AM. Sail to Edfu, lunch at 12:30 PM, the Temple of Edfu at 3 PM. Sail to Esna with tea and dinner. Overnight in Esna.

DAY 6 — Luxor’s West Bank, Karnak & Luxor Temples (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Sail to Luxor overnight, breakfast at 6 AM. The West Bank at 7 AM: Valley of the Kings, Temple of Habu, Colossi of Memnon. Lunch at 12:30 PM, the Luxor and Karnak Temples at 3 PM, tea and dinner on board. Sail in Luxor.

DAY 7 — Disembark & Fly Back to Cairo (Breakfast)
Breakfast at 7 AM, disembarkation at 8 AM. Flight to Cairo, transfer to Le Meridien Cairo Airport Hotel, Deluxe Room. Dinner on your own.

DAY 8 — Farewell (Breakfast)
Breakfast, checkout, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home.
